Signing of Concession Agreement for Longnan Wudu Waste-to-Energy Project
Recently, Weiming Environment Protection signed the Concession Agreement for the Wudu District Waste-to-Energy Plant Project with the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Longnan City’s Wudu District. The project is designed to process 900 tons of municipal solid waste per day.
The project will be developed over a 30-year concession period in two phases:
-
Phase I will have a capacity of 600 tons per day, with co-treatment of 50 tons per day of kitchen and food waste.
-
The agreement also covers the waste collection and transfer system within Wudu District and relevant transfer stations in Wen County, Tanchang County, Kang County, and Zhouqu County in Gannan Prefecture. The specific terms for waste transportation services are still under negotiation.
The signing of this agreement marks another milestone in Weiming’s expansion, as this is the company’s first solid waste treatment project in Gansu Province. This project will increase Weiming’s waste incineration and kitchen waste treatment capacity. In the long run, it will allow Weiming to gain valuable experience in the solid waste sector and expand its market presence.
Weiming is committed to strictly adhering to the agreement and developing this project into a benchmark for environmental protection in the region. By doing so, the company will contribute to sustainable waste resource utilization in Longnan City, known as the “Jiangnan of Gansu” for its picturesque landscapes.
